Specialty skills sessions with Mehanna Ma'a

SETTING 

July 16th 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Session designed for high school players wishing to focus on setting skills.  Session has a limit of 16, so register early.

Cost:  $40.00

HITTING/BLOCKING 

July 17th  5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Attacking and blocking will be the focus in the clinic.  The smallest details can enhance a players attacking ability.  Add the insight to effective blocking and you are ready for your upcoming tryout.

SERVING/DEFENSE

July 18th  5:30 pm – 7:00 pm

Serving is a critical skill in our sport.  Join us in learning how to control, direct, and speed up your serve. Couple that with some killer defensive nuggets, and you know your overall game is on the rise.

         Mehana is a born and raised native Hawaiian from Kāneʻohe, Hawaiʻi. Maʻa graduated from Punahou School and continued her athletic career at California State San Bernardino. During her time there, she led the team as the starting setter to an undefeated season resulting in a 2019 National Championship. Maʻa earned all conference awards and all tournament awards. She spent time coaching at Rancho Valley Volleyball Club. Ma’a then had a decorated playing career at the University of California Santa Barbara, where she was the Gauchos’ leading setter and team captain. While leading UCSB to a 20-win season in her senior campaign and impressive Big West Conference performance. She also served as a beach volleyball coach for East Beach Volleyball Academy in Santa Barbara, California. She served as the Assistant Volleyball Coach at The University of Southern Mississippi from 2023-2024. She currently resides in Honolulu and facilitates specified skill clinics for ages 12-18.
